Information We Collect
- Name, email address, and account metadata
- Task and follow-up data you create
- If connected, access to your Gmail messages, labels, and message metadata (only those you explicitly permit through Google OAuth)
How We Use Your Information
- To provide daily follow-up digests and personalized task suggestions
- To label and organize your emails within Gmail using FollowUpHero-specific labels (via Gmail Labels API)
- To optionally mark emails as read/unread or apply labels to indicate follow-up status (via Gmail Modify scope)
- To improve our service
- To send relevant notifications
- We do not use your data to train, develop, or improve generalized AI or machine learning models
Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted services to operate FollowUpHero:
- Supabase (database & authentication)
- Resend (transactional emails)
- Google APIs (OAuth & Gmail access: read-only, modify, and label-related actions)
- Cloudflare (infrastructure)
- OpenAI (to analyze email content for task and follow-up detection)
We do not sell or rent your data. We only share Google user data with these providers to provide FollowUpHero’s core functionality. All providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Data Security and Protection
We take your data protection seriously:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access to Google user data is restricted to authorized services only
- OAuth tokens are stored securely and never exposed client-side
Google API and AI Usage Disclosure
FollowUpHero’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use any Google Workspace API data to train, develop, or improve generalized AI or ML models.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us at hello@followuphero.io. All personal data and connected email account information will be deleted from our systems.
